We are seeking a skilled Low-Level Software Team Leader to head a dedicated team on an ambitious new project. You will play a pivotal role in developing the foundational infrastructure for a new product. Your primary focus will be the creation of critical low-level components, including ROM, low-level drivers, firmware, and hardware abstraction layers (HALs), all of which are crucial to the success of this revolutionary venture. You will lead a team of software and hardware engineers within the system group of NextSilicon’s hardware organization.

Requirements


  • B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing  low-level software, embedded, or validation teams.
  • 8+ years of experience as a low-level software engineer / RT embedded engineer
  • Strong, proven coding skills in C, CPP, Python.
  • Hands-on experience with low-level OS drivers—required .
  • Experience with hardware simulation—an advantage.
  • Experience with hardware validation—an advantage.
  • Experience developing Zephyr RTOS drivers—an advantage.
  • Experience with ARC development—an advantage.
  • A proactive, can-do approach and flexible mindset. 
  • Highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities


  • Play a significant role in designing, developing and optimizing a unique new product for the revolutionary NextSilicon accelerator.
  • Develop device software components including processor RTOS, OS drivers, user-space applications, and libraries.
  • Collaborate with hardware and product design teams to develop software for sophisticated SOC platform designs.
  • Contribute  as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking on broad responsibilities with an ecosystem-wide perspective.
  • Tackle complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges.
  • Participate across all levels of the product development lifecycle.
