NextSilicon is seeking a top notch Low Level SW Tech Lead to drive forward the development of the full software stack and architecture behind our revolutionary coprocessor. You will demonstrate creative and critical thinking capabilities and have a genuine passion for tackling complex low-level software issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, and/or equivalent experience in computer science and related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience as a low level software engineer / RT embedded engineer
  • Solid experience in tech leading software teams/efforts through the various stages of technology development, including research, concept, design and implementation.
  • Excellent software architecture design and C/C++ programming skills.
  • Previous experience working on large codebase projects that reached the production stage.
  • Deep understanding of the foundations of operating systems, including device and memory management, IPC, and runtime.
  • A genuine passion for producing high quality software.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’d be responsible for cross-team SW development activities start to finish:

  • Define feature development scope and plan for successful product delivery.
  • Execution of cross-team SW development projects.
  • Develop device software components including processor RTOS, OS drivers, and user space applications and libraries.
  • Collaborate with hardware and product design teams to develop software for sophisticated SOC platform designs.
  • Taking an active role in hands-on implementation.
  • Set a high bar for the software development cycle and code quality, and mentor others to achieve it. Guide other developers in the team as part of the joint effort.
  • Wide system impact through collaboration with the other SW teams.
